short snort|er «SNR tuhr», Slang, especially in the 1930's and 1940's.
1. a dollar bill or other piece of paper currency autographed by some or all of those who have shared in a transoceanic flight with its owner.
2. a person who shared in such a flight and had to buy drinks for others who made the flight if he could not produce his autographed bill on demand.
